Caustic soda anhydrous(dry caustic soda - sodium hydroxide, anhydrous) 98,995 white crystalline, higly corrosive substance, readily soluble in water with evolution of a considerable amount of heat.
Absorbs moisture and carbon dioxide from tne air.
Packages should be kept tightly close in order to avoid moisture pick-up and, for tne finer grades, possible resultant caking and lumping.
The product is available as SOLID, FLAKE, PEARL, MICROPEARL and U SHAPED caustic soda.
SOLID : molten anhydrous caustkic which has been allowed to cool and sodify in steel druns ( Sonetnimes also called : fused)
FLAKES : white free flowing, fast disolving flakes about 1mm thick and 5mm square ( bulk density : kg/dm 0.90+0.05)
PEARLS : white free flowing, fast disolving, non dusting spheres about 1.7mm in diamete, having good blending characteristics.
MICROPEARLS : free flowing, fast disolving, non dusting spheres about 0.7 in diamete, having good blending characteristics.
SODUSEC : U-shaped cast pieces intended for gas dehydration and decarbonation - 3 to 5mm thick - 15*15*15 overrall dimentions - filling density : kg, Per m. |
