Characteristic and Application:
Density (20℃) 0.938g/cm3. Boiling Point 345℃. Freezing Point –10℃. Flash Point 190℃. Water Dissolubility 0.4g/L(20℃).
Dibutyl Sebacate(DBS), an oil colorless and transparent liquid, can dissolve in ethanol, ethyl ether, toluene and other organic solvents. This product is widely used as rocket propellant. It is suitable for packaging material of food because of no toxicity, the softness of products is better. It is also a cold resistant plasticizer for synthetic resin and synthetic rubber. The products with it have good resistance to coldness and oil.
