It has new polyurethane structure that the central carbon atom is linked with 1 tertiary carboxyl and 2 primary hydroxyls. This kind of molecular structure makes produces good heat resistance,hydrolyses resistance, and color stability. Two tertiary hydroxides decide that DMPA has typical dual alcohol property and can undergo polycondensation .The hydroxides of low activity can be maintained, making the polymer highly hydrophilic. Presently, DMPA has been widely applied to the production the emulsified coating agent for leather.Besides, it can be applied to the manufacturing of polyester dope, photosynthetic substance, liquid crystal of new type, adhesive and magnetic recording materials etc. Adding DMPA can improve the stability, hydrophilic property, homogeneous property, and endurance property.
